Paint Lesson 5

Using the recolor tool

This tool will swap pixels of one color for another - it uses the primary and secondar color settings from the color wheel - if it picks up too much or not enough of the pixels near a color just change the tolerance settings

Copy and paste Pikachu as a new image

Choose the color picker tool and click on the yellow color - it changes the primary color to that shade of yellow

Now change the secondary color to something else
Click on the recolor tool - and change the brush size from 2 to 10 so it won't take you forever
Right click and draw on Pikachu - only the yellow should change
Now change the red circles to another color

* Note: you may need to adjust the tolerance settings if the recolor tool is picking up too much of a color - for example it may think red and pink are the same thing so set the tolerance low to something like 15%

You may end up with something like this:

Save this as pikachu_practice

Now try again with images of your choice - here is one example:

Save your own creation as color_change_practice images in your folder
